China Manufacturing Partner — Engineering-Led & Accountable

Engineering-led manufacturing project management in China

Manufacturing in China, with the risk engineered out of it

China manufacturing rewards buyers who control engineering and punishes those who buy on price alone. P&A International exists for the first kind: an engineering-led contract manufacturer, founded as a consultancy in 2008, running your parts through a vetted partner-factory network — every supplier ISO 9000 certified or better.

This page explains how the model works. The service pages carry the process depth; the form below starts a real conversation with an engineer.

How the model works

Engineering drawing review before manufacturing

1. Engineering first

Every drawing is reviewed by an engineer before quoting — DFM feedback is the quote, not an upsell.

Vetted partner factory production line in China

2. Vetted placement

Your part goes to the partner line equipped for it — vetted for process, capacity and quality class.

First article inspection with measurement report

3. Evidence

First articles ship with inspection data; production carries the agreed quality file.

Accountable project engineer managing delivery

4. Accountability

One named engineer owns your project — drawings, quality, logistics, and the fixes.

The model spans every process we run: fabrication, machining, stamping, casting, extrusion, moulding and thermal.

Engineering capability

  • Engineering review and DFM feedback on every RFQ
  • Supplier vetting, auditing and per-project placement
  • Quality planning: control plans, inspection points, acceptance criteria
  • IP protection: drawings and tooling held under supplier agreements, owned by you
  • Production monitoring with pre-shipment inspection
  • Consolidated multi-process supply with one quality file
  • Export logistics through to EXW, FOB or DDP

Why engineers & buyers choose PA

For design engineers

Factories optimise for output; your product needs someone optimising for the drawing. That is the gap this model fills — an engineer on your side of the table, inside the factory time zone.

For purchasing

The classic China risks — silent substitutions, quality drift, vanishing accountability — are process failures, and processes can be engineered: vetted suppliers, locked specifications, inspection evidence, and one person who answers the phone.

3 easy steps to get started

1

Tell us what has to go right

Parts, volumes, and the failures you cannot afford.

2

Engineering proposal

Process routes, partner classes, quality plan, itemised pricing.

3

Pilot with evidence

A prototype or pilot batch with full inspection data — then scale.

Applications

Export customers in Australia, the US, Europe and New Zealand use the model for fabricated metal, machined components, stamped hardware, castings, extrusions, moulded plastics and thermal management — usually starting with one part, then consolidating.

Is this model for you?

A quick self-test:

Engineered product Drawings, tolerances and specs that matter — yes, strong fit
Quality has burned you The evidence-driven file exists for exactly this
Multi-process assembly One accountable supplier beats four arguing ones
Pure commodity buying Honestly, a trading desk may be cheaper — we are engineers

What to send us for a fast, accurate quote

The more of this you can share, the quicker we can return a proposed engagement plan and price:

  • A representative drawing or two (NDA available)
  • Annual volumes and batch pattern
  • Current supplier pain if any
  • Standards your industry requires
  • Pilot timeline you have in mind

Two sentences and a drawing start the conversation — an engineer replies, not a sales sequence.

    Frequently asked questions

Are you a factory or an agent?
Neither in the usual sense: an engineering-led contract manufacturer. We do the engineering, qualification and accountability; vetted partner factories do the production; you get one responsible counterparty.
    How are suppliers vetted?
Process audits, quality-system review and capacity verification before any part is placed — and every supplier in the network holds ISO 9000 certification or better.
    Who protects my IP?
Drawings move under supplier agreements restricted to your project, tooling you fund is marked your property, and we do not sell your parts to anyone else.
What does a first project look like?
Usually a prototype or pilot batch with full inspection data — small enough to be low-risk, real enough to judge the quality file and the communication.
    Where are you actually located?
Engineering office in DongGuan, GuangDong — inside the manufacturing region, in the factory time zone, with English-language project communication.
