Metal Fabrication Company in China, Engineers Choice for De-risked Manufacturing

Selecting a metal fabrication company in China — inspected fabricated parts

Choosing a metal fabrication company in China without betting your production line on it

The risk in China fabrication is rarely price — it is the gap between the quote and the parts: unreviewed drawings, unqualified welds, silent substitutions, no inspection data. P&A International closes that gap by putting an engineer, not a salesperson, between you and the factory floor.

We are an engineering-led contract manufacturer founded as a consultancy in 2008. Your work runs through a vetted partner network — every supplier ISO 9000 certified or better — selected per project for process, capacity and quality class, with one dedicated engineer accountable to you for the result.

Engineering-led since 2008
consultancy + manufacture

One dedicated engineer
per project, end-to-end

10–15-day prototypes
qualified samples with test data

ISO 9000 partner network
every supplier certified or better

Vetted partner network
matched per project, never one-size-fits-all

What should a fabrication partner actually provide?

Engineering drawing review before metal fabrication

Engineering review

Every drawing checked for formability, weldability and tolerance stack before anything is cut — with DFM feedback in the quote.

Qualified factory line fabricating metal parts

The right line

Sheet, steel, CNC or stamping — the job goes to the partner equipped for it, not the shop with spare capacity.

First article inspection of fabricated metal parts

Evidence, not promises

First-article inspection, CMM data, material certs and weld records — the quality file arrives with the parts.

Dedicated engineer managing fabrication project

One accountable engineer

A named engineer owns your project end to end — drawings, tooling, inspection, logistics, and the awkward questions.

If a supplier cannot show you these four things, you are carrying their risk for them.

Engineering capability

  • Supplier vetting done before you arrive: process audits, quality-system checks, capacity verification
  • Project-level quality planning: control plans, inspection points, acceptance criteria agreed up front
  • First-article inspection with CMM report before production release
  • Material certificates and finish test reports with the quality file
  • IP protection: your drawings and tooling stay yours, under supplier agreements
  • English-language engineering communication in your time zone window
  • Pre-shipment inspection against your drawing, with photos and data
  • Logistics through to EXW, FOB or DDP — one invoice, no surprises

Why engineers & buyers choose PA

For design engineers

You hand over a drawing pack and get back questions — the right ones, about datum schemes, weld access and tolerance intent. That conversation, before manufacture, is the cheapest quality control you will ever buy.

For purchasing

Audit one partner instead of ten factories. PA carries the supplier qualification, the inspection regime and the accountability; you get itemised pricing, inspection data with every delivery, and an engineer who answers the phone when something needs fixing.

3 easy steps to get started

1

Tell us what has to go right

Parts, volumes, the failures you cannot afford — that brief drives supplier selection.

2

Engineering proposal

Process route, partner class, quality plan and itemised pricing — yours to challenge.

3

Prove it with a pilot

A prototype or pilot batch with full inspection data, before you commit production.

Applications

This model serves engineers and purchasing teams in industrial automation, energy storage, telecom, lighting, transport, agritech and medical equipment — anywhere fabricated metalwork must arrive on spec, on time, with the paperwork to prove it.

Explore the services behind the model: metal fabrication in China, sheet metal fabrication, steel fabrication and welding and the prototype sheet metal shop.

Vetting checklist: six questions for any China fabricator

Use these on any supplier — including us:

Who reviews my drawing? A named engineer should review and respond before quoting — silence here predicts silence later
Which line runs my job? Ask for the specific factory and its quality certification, not a brochure
What inspection data ships? FAI and CMM reports should be standard, not a paid extra
Who qualifies the welds? Procedures and welder records should exist and be available
Who owns tooling and IP? You should — in writing
Who is accountable? One named person, reachable, with authority to fix problems

What to send us for a fast, accurate quote

The more of this you can share, the quicker we can return a proposed engagement plan and price:

  • A representative drawing or two (under NDA if you prefer)
  • Annual volumes and batch sizes
  • Your current pain points: quality, lead time, communication, cost
  • Certifications or standards your industry requires
  • Timeline for a pilot or transfer

Comparing several suppliers? Send the same pack to all of us and compare the engineering in the replies.

    Frequently asked questions

How is PA different from a trading company?
Trading companies relay quotes; we do engineering. Drawings are reviewed by our engineers, suppliers are selected and audited by us, and every delivery carries inspection data we stand behind.
Can I visit or audit the factory?
Yes. Customer audits of partner lines can be arranged, and many customers start with a pilot batch — the inspection data usually answers the question faster than a flight does.
How do you protect my IP?
Drawings are shared with partner lines under supplier agreements solely for your project, tooling you fund is marked as your property, and we do not supply your parts to anyone else.
What does a pilot project look like?
Typically a prototype or small pilot batch in 10-15 days for sheet work, delivered with first-article inspection and CMM data, so you can judge the quality file before committing volume.
    Which processes can you cover?
Sheet metal, steel fabrication and welding, CNC machining, stamping, die casting and aluminium extrusion — selected per part, so multi-process assemblies have one accountable supplier.
