Sheet Metal Shop in China, engineering-led contract manufacturer

Quick-turn sheet metal shop work in China — prototype enclosures and brackets

A sheet metal shop that thinks like your engineering team

Need one bracket, five enclosures or a fifty-piece pilot batch? P&A International runs your quick-turn sheet metal work through the partner line best suited to small quantities — laser cut, formed, welded and finished — with qualified samples back in 10-15 days, inspection data included.

Because we were founded as an engineering consultancy, even a one-off gets a real drawing review: flat-pattern check, bend allowances, hardware callouts. Prototypes that are right the first time save you the second freight bill.

Quick-turn sheet metal services

Laser cut sheet metal prototype parts

Prototypes

Tooling-free laser cutting and bending — one to ten pieces, inspected and shipped in 10-15 days.

Prototype part with machined features from sheet metal shop

Prototype + machining

Sheet parts with machined bores, threads and faces where the drawing demands more than forming.

Small batch production sheet metal components

Small batches

Tens to hundreds of parts with the same documentation discipline as production — ideal for pilots.

Bridge production sheet metal fabrication in China

Bridge production

Keep shipping product while hard tooling or volume lines are qualified — without re-drawing anything.

When volumes grow, the same drawings move seamlessly to our production fabrication and stamping services.

Engineering capability

  • One-off and low-volume laser cutting, bending and welding without tooling charges
  • Reverse engineering from samples into controlled drawings
  • Prototype finishes that match production: powder coat, anodise, plate
  • Hardware insertion and small welded assemblies
  • First-article inspection report with every new part, even one-offs
  • DHL/FedEx express despatch for urgent prototypes
  • Seamless handover to production fabrication or stamping when volumes rise

At a glance

Quantities 1 to ~500 pieces (more via our production service)
Prototype lead time 10-15 days including inspection
Materials Mild steel, stainless, aluminium, copper, brass
Data accepted STEP, IGES, DXF, PDF drawings — or a physical sample
Finishes Powder coat, paint, anodise, plate, brush

Why engineers & buyers choose PA

For design engineers

You get a working partner, not a web portal: a named engineer who reads the drawing, queries the ambiguous dimension before cutting, and suggests the cheaper bend sequence. Iterations are fast because feedback loops are human and direct.

For purchasing

Prototype pricing without procurement pain: itemised quotes, no tooling fees for sheet work, inspection data with every delivery, and a clean handover path to production volumes within the same ISO 9000 certified partner network.

3 easy steps to get started

1

Send your part data

STEP/DXF/PDF or a photo of a sample with key dimensions — whatever you have today.

2

Same-week engineering reply

Manufacturability check, route selection and an itemised quote, usually within days.

3

Parts in 10-15 days

Laser-cut, formed, finished and inspected — shipped express with the measurement report.

Applications

Typical shop work: R&D test fixtures and rigs, pilot-build enclosures, replacement and legacy parts, trade-show prototypes, pre-certification builds and urgent production bridges — for engineers who need real parts faster than their local shop can schedule them.

Growing volumes? See production metal fabrication and metal stamping. Related: sheet metal fabrication services and steel fabrication.

Shop service or production service?

Both run through the same engineering process — choose by quantity and urgency:

Sheet metal shop (this page) 1-500 pieces, speed matters, no tooling — prototypes, pilots, bridges
Production fabrication Recurring volumes with supply agreements — see the metal fabrication pillar
Stamping Thousands of identical parts where a progressive die pays back

What to send us for a fast, accurate quote

The more of this you can share, the quicker we can return a proposed route and lead time and price:

  • Part data: STEP/IGES/DXF, PDF drawing, or sample photos with dimensions
  • Material and finish (or ask for a recommendation)
  • Quantity and the date you need parts in hand
  • Delivery address for courier quotation

Urgent? Say so in the message — express routing is normal for shop work.

    Frequently asked questions

Will you really make just one part?
Yes. Laser cutting and bending need no tooling, so one-offs are routine shop work — quoted, made, inspected and couriered like any other job.
How fast can I get a prototype?
Qualified samples typically ship in 10-15 days from drawing approval, with express courier delivery on top. Urgent jobs can sometimes run faster — ask your engineer.
    Can prototypes use production finishes?
Yes — powder coat, anodising and plating are available on prototype quantities, so your pilot parts look and behave like production.
    What if my volumes grow?
The same controlled drawings move to our production fabrication or stamping services within the same partner network — no re-qualification from scratch.
I only have a sample, no drawing. Can you help?
Yes. Send the sample or detailed photos with key dimensions and your engineer will produce a controlled drawing for your approval before manufacture.
